This piece on paper marks the start of my latest series recalling memories of Venice, where we went on our 2nd honeymoon. Waking up to the sound of bustling tourists, we opened our blackout curtains and saw that we were staying in the middle of the busy shopping district and saw all of the bright colours that we'd missed as we'd arrived at our hotel very late at night.
