This 25x25 cm oil painting is called, ‘Dreaming of You’, abstracted shapes from initial sketches of swallows darting around close to the field where I live. This piece has a dream-like quality, I am exploring the threshold space, the part of the day before you realise you’re awake and it feels like you’re still dreaming. The hard borders symbolise the threshold between states/worlds. The textures in this piece remind me of the rocks and pebbles that I notice on beach walks.
