The Cornish gorse and fields of Spring Daffodils inspired these colours, evoking a sense of joy and optimism, on Arches oil paper, which is archival quality. I noticed the arc shapes in the fields caused by the farmer’s tractor and went on to inspire this piece.

I created this painting using oils and added glazes in many layers. I also used oil paint mixed in with an oil medium called cold wax.
